A native son of Belgrade, Vlad Petrovic learned his photographic craft at major European art centres (fine still photography at Art Academy in Prague, fashion at Scuola di Belle Arti in Rome, fine portraiture in Paris).
Owning his own Studio in Belgrade, he covered everything from fashion to commercial photography, making a solid reputation in the field of superlative, hand-printed black & white images.
Commissions from Saatchi & Saatchi and Olgilvy & Mather, global advertising giants added to this portfolio of eclectic work.
Lured by the legendary natural beauty of New Zealand (and its distance from political upheaval in the former Yugoslavia), Vlad and his wife Jasmine made a new life in Wellington. Immediately employed by the legendary ‘Photography by Woolf’ Studios, he photographed everything from the Prime Minister to the Duke of Edinburgh, weddings and portraits of Wellingtonians, to digital imaging and crafted darkroom prints.
Now resident in Melbourne for more then a decade, Vlad initially managed Studios specialising in beauty Portraiture where his expertise over so many processes and techniques, both traditional and digital, ensured business success.
Vlad is here to stay and capture the most memorable moments in multicultural life of Melbourne – your engagements, weddings, birthdays, corporate and commercial images.
